International Card Making Day

What a great day it was. I held a craft afternoon in the St Johns Church Hall. What a great turnout. Thanks to everyone who attended.

During the afternoon everyone made 2 cards that had been selected for them and then some ladies tried their hand at the card challange I had for them. All the cards looked great.

The first card we made was a birthday card using the Choo Choo and Right on Track stamps sets. I made a template for the clouds and everyone tried their hand at sponging the clouds. Even though we all made the same card they all looked so different. Some of the clouds looked quite stormy, depending on which blue ink the ladies chose.

The second was a birthday card using the Crazy for Cupcakes stamps. Mine was not quite completed, the colouring in had not been completed, but you get the idea. We used Pink Pirouette cardstock and papers from the Candy Lane Designer Series Papers.

As I mentioned I gave everyone a card challange to work on if they so wished. I gave them a layout and waited to see what the finished card looked like. Pictured is a selection of some of the finished cards. They look great. Thanks to those who took me up on the challange. Its a lot of fun and great to see what the finised product is.
I will be holding another afternoon in November, unfortunately the last one for the year. As Christmas is fast approaching I will have a few surprise Christmas ideas for you all to try.

Thanks to everyone for making Saturday a great success, a great day had by all.
